John Kling

John Kling has been our Sanctuary Choir Director since January 2015.  John has been singing in choirs since 2nd grade and was previously the Music Director at Titusville United Methodist Church for 19 years.

A 1983 graduate of Eastern (University) College in St. Davids, PA., he majored in Communications and minored in religion.  Over the years, he has studied Choral Conducting at Westminster Choir College under Dr. Heather Buchanan and Dr. James Jordan.

John has sung with Hopewell Valley Chorus from 1984-2010 and, since 2005, sings with Capital Singers of Trenton. Between 1999 and 2002, he also sang with MidAmerica Productions Choruses at Carnegie Hall under the direction of John Rutter.

For the past 11 years, John taught music and chorus for the upper school at Villa Victoria Academy, and is now at Princeton Academy of the Sacred Heart. He is very happy to join the Broad Street UMC community and looks forward to a long future of worshiping and ministering through music.
